Chapter 13

~An Endgame Of Her Own~

The next morning, things became quite hectic.
"Jady~! Jady, wake up~!" The butterfly femme stirred.
"...Hmmm...w-what is it Chip~?" she yawned, rubbing her optics.
"We have discovered Decepticon signals coming from the Moon. Optimus has sent Bumblebee to transwarp there and plant a transmitter." Jady jerked up suddenly. "Oooh, I hope he's alright~!"
Chip smiled. "He's fine, he's just come back." Soon as the two femme bots entered the room, Bumblebee was telling the rest of the team about his report. Apparently when he went to plant the transmitter, it was however inadvertedly broken by Shockwave shortly after his arrival.
So Bumblebee decided to change his strategy into infiltrating Omega Supreme. Inside, he found Arcee (a well known femme bot Ratchet had met and saved many stellar cycles ago) babbling on and on about school back on Cybertron. Deeming it impossible to take her back to Earth, Bumblebee chose to activate Arcee's transmitter before leaving, using her to spy on the Decepticons.
Jady was relieved to see her lover bot was in one piece, for she knew how dangerous the traitor, Shockwave could be.
After taking on Bumblebee's report, Optimus had taken his own jet pack for a test run, which Ratchet, Sari and Professor Sumdac had been working on, adding some stabilizers to help Prime fly much easier and more successfully.
Enjoying his flying and thinking back to a conversation with Ultra Magnus was only to be interrupted by the female Screamer clone - Slipstream, who she thought Optimus was Starscream, returned to Earth.

Attacked by the clone, Optimus took a hit and instantly crashed into the river, while Slipstream flew off as she realized he was not her progenitor.
"I insist that you MUST use the Magnus Hammer," suggested Ratchet as Optimus was being repaired at the plant.
"No Ratchet," replied Prime, "I still believe that using it is...is...it's just not in my programming."
"I believe that fate makes its own programming," Prowl spoke. But Optimus' thoughts were cut short when Bulkhead got some several signals from the Moon, and before the team, appeared three huge Lugnut Supreme clones, launched by Megatron himself, to destroy Detroit as a test run~!
Reluctantly, Optimus grabs the Magnus Hammer.
"You think we can reason with Omega Supreme~?" he asked Ratchet.
"Hmmm...I doubt it...~" Ratchet grumbled as the three large clones transformed and prepared to touch down. As they observed the Lugnut Supremes hovering around Detroit, the team's plans to defeat Megatron once and for all came together. Sari offered to join them.
"No Sari, it's...~" Optimus began.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's "too dangerous", Sari ranted, "I know...it's always "too dangerous"~!
"I was going to say," Prime cleared his vocalizer, "it's more important for you to protect your father and your fellow organics."
Sari went a little red, embarrassed. "Oooh...right...sorry...~"
Jady giggled a little and then turned to her Boss bot.
"May I go too, sir~?" Optimus sighed. He hated to say no twice, but he knew that Megatron may strike to take her under his control again.
"I'm afraid not Jady...after what happened between you and Megatron, it's best you stay here where it's safe."
Jady nodded and lowered her head a little. "Very well sir...~"

The Autobot leader gave an encouraging smile as he rubbed her head gently.
"Don't worry; I assure you everything will be fine." As Jady looked up and smiled back, Optimus turned to Chip.
"Chip, I'm leaving Jady in your servos. Take good care of her."
"Never fear sir, I'll do my best." She and Jady then kissed their mechs goodbye and good luck as they set off on their missions. Jazz went with Prowl to protect the city, where Bumblebee went with Ratchet and Bulkhead to attempt a retrieval of Omega Supreme, and also to save Arcee.
Managing to locate her again over by Omega Supreme, Ratchet rushes to her, only to find that she was bait, set by Shockwave~! As Bumblebee and Bulkhead took him on, Ratchet took Arcee safely inside Omega Supreme, hoping to restore her memory.
With Bulkhead charging and knocking off his canon, Shockwave briefly assumed his Longarm form.
"Please...old friends...have mercy...spare me...~"
"Yeah right~!" shouted Bulkhead, "As if we'd fall for THAT old trick~!" And he smashed the cannon to pieces with his wrecking ball.
"By the way," the huge mech went on, "We think Chip is far too good for the likes of YOU~!" Hearing these words, Longarm hung his head in shame, forming back into Shockwave as his servos were cuffed. At that moment in Omega Supreme, Ratchet had managed to bring Arcee fully online and her memory back at the time when the bounty hunter, Lockdown had captured them.
"I promise we'll catch up in time," Ratchet told her softly, "but right now we'll need your activation codes to retake control of Omega Supreme."
Back on Earth, while Prowl and Jazz were using processor-over-matter to make the AllSpark whole again to shield the city, Optimus was grappling hard with Megatron.
"You're a persistent little Autobot," sneered the tyrant.
"My name is OPTIMUS PRIME~!!" snapped Optimus, loudly declares his name after being patronisingly called "Autobot" by Megatron like he did before when they crossed paths.

Just then, Omega Supreme arrived just in time to fight the Supreme clones. He was able to defeat one and disarm its bomb system, but the other knocks him aside and forces him back to ship mode. And at Sumdac Tower, there was a problem.
"We don't have enough Spark to shield the city~!" Jazz exclaimed as processor-over-matter was nearly complete of collecting AllSpark fragments, "neither of us can pull in anymore fragments~!"
Prowl thought for a moment, realizing on how to make the AllSpark chunk powerful enough.
"...There is another way...~" he murmured and then levitates towards it. Jazz instantly recognized what his friend intended to do.
"NO PROWL~!!" he screamed, "We can find another way~! Don't do it, PLEASE~!!" But Prowl merely turned and give him a reassuring smile...his very last smile. Suddenly, the AllSpark released a surge of energy, and Prowl fell back to the ground.
"PROOOOWLLL~!!" Jazz quickly caught his body, but it was too late...Prowl had gone...~
"...Prowl...ooh no...no...~" A force field then formed around the remaining Supreme clone. Meanwhile, within the safety of the plant, Jady was watching in awe at instant power surge amongst the battle in the city. Feeling quite helpless, her fists clenched emotionally as she felt the loss of a team mate build up inside her. It was then; Jady knew what she had to do.
"I can't just stand here...~" she whispered, "I HAVE to do something...I have to help my team, even if it may cost my own life too~!" Activating her wing blades, Jady took to the sky, just as Chip caught her taking off.
"NO JADY~!! COME BACK, YOU'LL BE KILLED~!!" she cried. But Jady was already flying towards the city, at full speed. At that moment, furious that his precious Supreme clones were being destroyed one by one, Megatron glared at Optimus once more.
"If I cannot save my clones, at least I'll have the satisfaction of destroying you...Optimus Prime."
"So, you can remember my name~!" the Autobot leader replied. Growling from that remark, the tyrant quickly struck Optimus to the ground hard. The red and blue mech winced in pain as Megatron laughed, aiming his fusion cannon at him.
"Say goodbye Prime...~" the Decepticon leader snarled triumphantly. But before he could perform the final blow, a jade green energy beam hit him right in the shoulder blade. This knocked the tyrant off his guard, just as Jady appeared before him, instantly blocking his way to Optimus.

"I'll slag you if you dare to lay another servo on him~!" she glared, trying to be as brave as she could.
Facing Megatron for the second time was what Jady feared the most, but protecting her own Boss bot as well at all costs was the only thing that mattered at this moment.
"N-No...Jady...~" Optimus looked up to her, despite the pain he was feeling right now, "don't worry about me...d-don't...p-put yourself...at risk...~" Megatron on the other hand, found this quite amusing.
"Well, well, well...~" he grinned, "so you finally decided to return to me after all, Jadebutterfly."
"I won't let you destroy Optimus~!" Jady answered firmly, "Nor our team~! Not while I'm here...~"
"How sweet," the tyrant chuckled evilly, "but in this case my dear, I will have to be a little more firm with you...~"
Even from Omega Supreme's window screen, Bumblebee could see his beloved Jady against Megatron from a distance. Filled with panic, Bumblebee suddenly leapt off board, onto his feet and began to rush towards the scene.
"BUMBLEBEE~!!" Ratchet yelled after him from the ship, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING~?!"
"I lost Jady once~!" the yellow mech called back, referring to when they had to part back in boot camp, "I'm not gonna lose her again~!!"
"But to make things more clear," Megatron went on to Jady, "I shall not be defeated and let a dainty little girl like you get the better of me, as well as a worthless Prime like Optimus here." Sudden anger and irritation began to build up within Jady's system at the tyrant's vile words.
"Optimus is not worthless~!" she shouted furiously, "And I am NOT a little girl~!! We are stronger than you think Megatron~!" She then sped towards him, summoning her energy beams.
"We'll see about that...~" Megatron hissed as he took out one of his swords, darting towards her as well. He fired his fusion cannon a few times while trying to slash her with his sword, but kept missing as Jady dodged his every attempt, firing as many energy beams as she could.
"Jady~!" Hearing her name being called, Jady looked up and saw Bumblebee rushing towards them, a few inches away from the fight.

"Bumblebee...AAHH~!!" Jady becoming distracted was enough for Megatron to catch her off guard and strike a part of her wing blade, making a hole and send her falling to the ground upon her aft.
Jady's wings twitched a little in pain as she quickly glanced up at the blade of the sword before her, panting.
"I hate to do this to you dear," Megatron told her coldly, "but you acting like this and not co-operating is leaving me with no choice...~"
"JADY, LOOK OUT~!!" yelled Bumblebee, "GET BACK~!!" As Megatron heard his cries, he gave another evil laugh.
"He doesn't deserve you. Nobody does...but this will probably hurt me more than it hurts you...~" Jady's optics widened in fright as the tyrant's deadly image reflected in them. She quickly glanced down at the sword before her and then back up at Megatron as a thought came to her mind.
"Jady~!" Optimus called, trying to get back up. But what happened then, was unbearable. Megatron raised his sword and to the other bots' complete horror, he instantly lunged it into Jady, its blade piercing deep into the centre, below her chest plate...right near her spark.
"...NOOOOOOOOO~!!!" Bumblebee shrieked at the top of his vocalizer, witnessing every second of this as he reached out for Jady, who now looked lifeless. Her head hung low while Megatron smirked with satisfaction. No one could see her face, not even him. The sword was still plunged deeply in her lower chest as her servos held onto the blade.
All of a sudden, to everyone's amazement...Jady's head then slowly began to lift up, right before their optics. She was STILL online~! Even Megatron couldn't believe it as Bumblebee's optics welled up with tears in great astonishment.
"...I-Impossible~!" the tyrant stammered in disbelief. He suddenly felt Jady yank his sword right out of his servos as she then got to her feet. Then quickly but carefully taking it out of her lower chest, Jady instantly held Megatron's own sword against him just as Bumblebee joined her by her side.

"Touché...my dear," Megatron murmured, still a bit baffled but impressed at the same time.
"You're...finished~!" Jady managed to say wearily, despite the pain she was feeling right now within her chest area.
"Maybe I am...maybe I'm not...~" replied Megatron, backing away a little.
"Bumblebee...~" Optimus whispered, managing to recover from the recent knockout and got up on his feet, "take Jady away from here...now~!" He then becomes trapped in the force field along with Megatron, just as Bumblebee carried Jady to safety in time, dropping the tyrant's sword.
"Hahahaha...looks like I'll be taking you with me Prime," Megatron gloated. But all was not lost for Optimus as a figure of light in Prowl's image removed him from the force field. Seeing this, the Decepticon leader roars in anger as the clone detonated, and everything went white completely...~
The next thing Optimus knew when he awoke, he was surrounded his fellow bots. Declaring that they won, they were about to celebrate...until Jazz came carrying Prowl's shell, revealing that the ninja-bot merged his spark with the AllSpark to give them it the necessary energy.
"Ooh Prowl...~"
Optimus moved towards his fallen comrade, but was instead knocked backwards by a purple blast. It was Megatron...he was STILL functioning~!
"PRIME~!!" Ratchet shouted, using his magnets to throw the Magnus Hammer to Optimus. In a rage, the Autobot leader beat Megatron down. The tyrant was now lying helpless upon the ground.
"What are you waiting for, Autobot~?" he hissed weakly, "Finish me...~" Optimus raised the Magnus Hammer but instead of bringing it down on Megatron himself, he brought it down on his fusion cannon, smashing it instantly.
"That would be the easy way out Megatron," Optimus told him firmly, "You don't deserve it...~" He then placed stasis cuffs on the tyrant. Megatron, the leader of Decepticons and "glorious" overlord was finally captured, and arrested.

"Phew...thank Primus it's all over," sighed Bulkhead, placing a servo upon his forehead.
"I'll say," agreed Ratchet, "c'mon, let us head back to Cybertron."
"Hold it guys," Sari spoke worriedly, "we've still got a problem. Look...~" As she pointed, everyone looked and saw Bumblebee still holding a wounded Jady in his arms. She had fallen unconscious when he took her away from the force field.
"Ooh no...Jady...~" gasped Optimus.
"Man...Prowl wasn't the only one to make a sacrifice...~" Jazz murmured.
"She is gonna make it...isn't she~? Chip~?" Sari asked eagerly, looking as if she was going to cry. Chip, who wasn't sure what to say at this moment, felt like crying herself. Losing her little sister and another loved one would break her spark forever, let alone Bumblebee's.
"Jady...~" the yellow mech sniffed, tears streaming down his optics, "Jady please, wake up...~" When there was no response, Bumblebee sobbed deeply into Jady's shoulder blade around everyone came round them, feeling his sorrow.
But at that moment, the same figure of light in Prowl's image reappeared.
"Jadebutterfly...~" his voice echoed softly in her mind, "you must live...you have so much to live for...far from ready to leave the ones you love...Chip and Bumblebee need you...they all do...~" And just as Bumblebee kissed the lips of his beloved butterfly femme, another tear was shed. It ran down his cheek and slipped off his faceplate, glowing a pure blue with the help of Prowl's spirit. A purified tear of true love...~
It fell into Jady's wound, and combining with her healing powers, her lower chest glowed brightly along with her spark. Everyone watched in awe as the wound healed up, disappearing all together and restored both chest plate and spark as they were before. When the glowing died down, Jady stirred.

"She moved~!" Sari gasped suddenly.
Hearing this, Bumblebee jerked up, his optics quivering in the light. "J-Jady~??"
Slowly, the butterfly bot's optics began to open, gazing up at her beloved bee bot and smiled gently. "Bumblebee...~"
"JADY~!!" Bumblebee cried in sheer delight, filled with tears of joy, "OOH MY SWEET DARLING JADY~!! YOU'RE ALIVE~!!"
"Yes my love," Jady replied happily, her optics shining too as they embraced each other, "I wouldn't go anywhere, without you...without any of you...~" She then smiled up to her fellow bots as they all welcomed her back, especially Chip who was one of the most happiest, hugging her one-chan as well.
"How's Optimus~?" Jady asked.
"Just fine now thank-you," Prime smiled, placing a servo on her shoulder blade, "welcome back Jady. I know you feared about facing Megatron again, but you were very brave to stand strong against him, even though it nearly cost you your life."
"Thank-you sir," Jady smiled back, and she then glanced over at Prowl's body.
"Oooh Prowl...I'm so sorry...~"
"It's alright Jady," she heard the familiar voice echo in her mind once more, "we all have to go sometime when it is right...but never fear, I will still be here to watch over you and others." The butterfly femme nodded and understood.
"Thank-you Prowl. Thank-you so much, for everything." The ninja-bot's spirit nodded back. "Everything's alright now...~"
Soon on Cybertron, the Autobots' return is hailed by a cheering crowd (all except Sentinel Prime, who was glowering at the front) with Optimus carrying the Magnus Hammer, the large piece of the AllSpark around his neck and Ratchet, Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Jazz all bearing Prowl's body.
In addition, they brought with them three rescued protoforms which were by Chip and Jady's side, along with Megatron, Lugnut, and Shockwave now as prisoners. To top it off, Omega Supreme transforms from his ship mode, and this sends the crowd into another round of cheering.

As Bumblebee helped his fellow bots place Prowl's body in a safe and secure place, Sari zoomed up to him.
"So, about the proposal~?" Bumblebee looked at her as she winked at him.
"Oh Primus~! I almost forgot~!" the yellow mech gasped, "Good thing I stored the ring into my storage compartment before we left."
"Go get her tiger~!" Sari called as she and Bulkhead watched Bumblebee run up to Jady. Even the crowd fell silent, eager to listen to what the bee bot had to say.
"Um...Jady~?"
"Yes Bumblebee~?" The butterfly femme turned to her lover bot as he gulped nervously, taking her servos into his own.
"T-There's something v-very important that I-I wish to say. You know I love you so much more than anything in the whole universe, even more than video games. I-I know it sounds crazy coming from someone like me, but...~"
"We're waiting~!" Sari teased playfully.
"Yeah, we're waiting~!" Bulkhead repeated cheekily. Bumblebee cringed at this and gave a shrug.
"Oooh Jady, what I'm trying say is, it's been fifty years...eons since we parted back in camp and over two years since we reunited...I want to spend the rest of our life cycles together, bonded forever...~" The crowd was filled with sounds of "Awwww...~" as he then knelt slowly towards the ground on one knee before his femme.
"Jady, my beautiful angelic butterfly...~" Bumblebee smiled lovingly, taking out the little blue box, "will you...do me the honour...and become my bondmate~?" And then opened it to reveal the heart shaped diamond ring inside, "...Will you...marry me~?" The sounds of "ooooh...~" came from the crowd when they saw the ring.
Jady gasped in surprise, her innocent blue optics widening when she saw the perfect little ring as well. She smiled too as they quivered in the light, filling up with happy tears.
"Ooh Bumblebee...~" Jady murmured, feeling completely lost for words, "Yes...yes~! Of course I will~!" she cried in sheer delight, wrapping her arms around him into a warm hug, "I thought you'd never ask~!"

The crowd clapped and cheered loudly once more of "congratulations" along with Sari and Optimus' team as the truly happy Bumblebee slipped the heart shaped ring upon his beloved Jady's finger, and they then shared a passionate kiss.
But both Ratchet and Sentinel could not believe their audios.
"...She's marrying the BUMBLER~?!" exclaimed Sentinel, almost fainting in complete shock, only to be caught in time by the Jet Twins who found this secretly amusing.
"...B-Bumblebee and Jady~? B-Bondmates~? AND getting married~?!" stammered Ratchet, nearly fainting too as Jazz and Bulkhead managed to catch him.
"Whoa, whoa~! Doc bot, what's up~??" asked Jazz anxiously.
"Was little buddy's proposal too much for ya~?" pondered Bulkhead curiously.
"No...~" replied the old medic bot gruffly, "but I think my spark just stopped...~" Optimus and Chip just chuckled lightly together, and continued to watch the two lover bots share their kiss as Bumblebee then announced that after Prowl's funeral, they will have the wedding.
"Our first robot wedding. What are we waiting for~?" Sari laughed, "we have lots to plan~!" And so at last, Optimus Prime and his brave crew of Autobots were finally hailed as the heroes they have all proven themselves to be.
