New Care Bear Cousins OC - Faithful Heart Deer

Wow, here's a blast from the past! Owo The Care Bears were part of my childhood and I remember watching the series, but the one I remember most, is the second movie, 'A New Generation' along with it's lovely ending theme 'Forever Young'. The movie also included the Care Bear Cousins, which inspired me to create this lil' cutie you see right here~ >w< Actually, it was my friend RockmanGurl who inspired me, so thank-you dear! This is quite an old piece because I started back in 2013 and I actually finished it. But sometime later, I had a better look at it and to be honest, I wasn't really satisfied with the lineart and details (although I was still learning on SAI X'3) so I decided to redo the lineart, along with the colours and shading, and even changed the background. And now, this piece looks so much better and neater, I am happier with the end results~ So, this little cutie you see before you is my own Care Bear Cousins character, called 'Faithful Heart Deer' ^w^ There is also a story to her as well. 

When Faithful Heart was a Care Bear Cousin Cub, she was mysteriously stolen from Care-a-Lot and accidentally dropped on Earth, echoes of her name fading away. She was found by a little girl, named Grace (aged 8) and took her in as part of her family. Faithful Heart had no memory of being a Care Bear Cousin, nor a symbol on her tummy. Five years passed, and Faithful Heart, renamed 'Faith' by Grace (now aged 13, who is her best friend and sisterly figure) grew up fast and content in her adopted home. But now and again, she had a bit of trouble fitting in and deep down, felt that she belonged somewhere else. For some reason, Faithful Heart seems to like gazing up at the clouds, lost in her thoughts, like there's another world up there...

One day, Faith encounters Bright Heart Raccoon in her garden, during a Caring Mission and was surprised to find he had a similar appearance to her, along with other the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins, when she was introduced to them. Although Faith spent most of her life on Earth, she had secretly wondered who she really was and where she came from. So with the help of Bright Heart, Grace and the Care Bear Family to find her lost role or specialty, Faith discovers to have faith and believe in not only people she loves and cares for, but also herself, in hopes to restore her lost memories of Care-a-Lot, her tummy symbol and her real name, 'Faithful Heart'.
